View Full Version : 62 Brat rod "Mommy's Little Monster" up date
63gasser Sep 8th, 08, 10:06 AM The wife and slapped on a coat of rust stop paint on the 62 yesterday, I still have some more sanding , a lot more body work to do but I cleaned up the surface rust and got it covered, now I can go back at my leisure and replace the rear wheel lips and actually pit a decent satin black paint job on her. Stacie says it looks like "one bad b!tch!" The car is becoming very fitting to her, although I doubt shell spend much time driving it, unless she can pry me out of it:hurray: There is no grandma left in this car at all. Once all is said and done I'm going to get some pinstriping done she is relly into the Von Dutch stye striping and get "Mommy'e Little Monster" stripes acrossthe trunk lid in scroll letters for her. The whole package fits the name she chose for the car. She can even take credit for quitea bit ofthe decisions made on the car. We did not go with the satin black because of any trendyness it is just what she liked I kinda drug my feet on this but I gave in to her and boy am I glad that I did

Lucky for me she is a gearhead :hurray: I think she has more pin up girl pic downloaded than I do (not the nudie kind you sikco) We both are into the ol 60's customs and traditional hot rods along wit the gassers and funny cars. Her dad built raoundy round cars when she was a kid so she has been exposed to racing her whole life. She has been a real dream come true for me. I could never understand whay a guy would marry somone who did not share his hobbies and pashions, we are a team.
Chevyboy454 Sep 26th, 08, 10:39 AM AMEN to that!!

Chevyboy454 Sep 27th, 08, 09:53 PM It's not trash, lol. It's umm "good used parts and stuff" maybe I'll send some Johnny's way I hear he likes that kind of stuff. As long as I have room to work I'm a happy Nova lover.

That is what I say to the wife when we have to dodge six transmissions, two engine blocks, a couple rear ends misc. suspension parts ect ect, and this is in a 1 car garage:yes:
xrider69 Oct 12th, 08, 03:12 PM Yeah that's for sure. It is a ton more fun and rewarding to turn the wrench on a car than to clean out the garage. Especially it you have enough room to work.

Philip Oct 12th, 08, 06:58 PM It is how you adapt different air fittings from some tools to the hose you have for others. Sometimes you just have to make do with what you have. BTDT many times.
