in my 68 Nova i have in the dash ignition switch. I want to remove it and the lock cylinder. Any ideas in how this is done? there is a small hole in the front where the key goes in.is that important? I tried to unscrew the outer ring but it only went so far an locked up. It feels like I'm hurting it so i stopped. Any info on this would help allot.:confused:

insert the key, turn to accessory position, insert paperclip into hole and depress a pin that's inside that hole... turn key further towards accessory and the lock cylinder will fall out ;)

oh, disconnect the battery first ;)
