What started out as a desktop for a customer of the company I work for, for my day job, was shipped the wrong size and thrown on a pile of (FREE) for employee use.
8' wide and 6' deep. Just a little too big for my office.

Draw some lines, lay the tape and hack it up!!!!

Note, when cutting laminate with a skill saw, cut it bottom side up and cover the "seam" with duct tape to keep it from splitting. Use a good straight guide to keep nice lines.

Add some galvanized pipe and a couple parking meters and VIOLA!!! New desk for my office.

Tomorrow I bring home the legs and cabinet and put it in the house!!:D
All these small projects, no wonder my car isn't done!!!:o
