quick & easy... will China be stripped of it's gold medals in gymnastics because of underage atheletes ???

I don't see it happening, at least not until a few years have passed. Suddenly there will be a "discovery" of fraud at some international event when the athlete is trying to compete again and their previous records as to age come to light.

I have only watched maybe 3-4 hours of the Olympics. They have lost a lost of their lustre to me. With all the doping , outrageous amounts of money etc going on in sports my overall interest has been waning for years. Sports aren't what they used to be when we played it for the sake of fun for the game.

Not a chance! China will be a dominant force in the world so noone is going to be pointing any fingers anywhere near China!

I havn't watched any of the Olympics at all.

I have customers ask me if I have been watching and when I say no they get mad:sad:

So now I have to lie and say yes a little here and there just like when they ask me about the elections I'm what ever they are and same goes for the god stuff:o:sad::D

I've watched a LOT of the Olympics. I'm a sports nut anyway - so I have been loving being able to watch sports that we normally don't watch - like volleyball and water polo. Beach Volleyball ROCKS!
I think the Chinese should have their medals stripped for the underage gymnasts. Any normal person can tell by looking that there is no way these girls are 16. They have competition applications and documents from previous competitions that show 3 of the girls were different ages than they show on their passports. That should be enough info right there to prove that something funny is going on.....

well, looks like the "i don't care" folks won out.

shame in a way that so many aren't interested any more in the Olympics. i started out saying i wasn't going to watch any as i'm not really into sports so to speak but ended up watching quite a bit... i enjoyed 'em.
