I need to vent a little guys...
I had my wife’s 2006 Chevy 1/2 ton towed to the dealer (under warranty)because her right front wheel bearing fell apart.

A couple days later they call and say come pick it up its done and warranty is paying for it.

When I picked it up I asked the service writer what happened and he said he never seen a bearing hub assy. that bad and that the mechanic thinks she must of hit something to cause the bearing failure but since he can't prove it warranty will pay for it. ( I really wanted to punch this guy)

The first time I drove the truck I noticed when I would brake it sounded like a nut or screw or something like that was rolling around the right front fender/firewall area:sad: So I called right a way and took the truck back to them.

I drove the guy around so he could hear the problem he kept having me stop and he would look in the fender etc. well he just called and said the new wheel bearing is fine and the noise is coming from my after market radio that’s not covered under warranty and it will be 180.00 to fix it.

After I finished letting him know that I don't smoke dope and he was nuts if he thinks I am going to believe the noise is in the radio! I told him Don't touch it I am going to pick the truck up and I was going to remove the stereo and bring it back for them to fix it.

He is going to talk to his boss and see if they will fix the radio for free!!! what a damn lier I have dealt with there bs before but I’m to stupid to find another dealer...
Are these guys trained to lie cheat and steel:confused:

I feel a little better NOT:D

Well jees John I said I took him for a ride and he heard it and was looking in the fender:sad:

he just called and wow how about that they are going to waive the 180.00 charge and fix it what a bunch of crap!

I know it is a fricken nut or socket that was dropped in the fender.

heh they were going to align and change all my tires on it needless to say I told them forget the tires and alignment.

Several of our company 2006 1/2 ton Chevy's had the same problem. I believe they were just out of warranty at around 40k miles. Our techs installed aftermarket bearings not the GM replacements.

Hey Philip did your techs leave sockets in the frame rail after the repair?:D

Thats what it sounds like I just got off the phone with them thay have the dash all torn apart and they still can't find the noise:sad:

Thats because its under the hood not the dash:sad:

BTW he did say it wasn't the radio after all..

maybe done on monday.
