Tom,
Would any straight six have this part on it? There are a lot of straight six websites around and they may be able to get one for you. Also try Steve's Nova Site they have a lot of stuff for sale there. I hope you can find one. Good luck with your restore.

Hot66ss Jul 31st, 08, 10:30 PM I am very new to Novas (always had Chevelles) and new to the straight 6 so I'm not sure what the interchangeability is on this part, if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated. I will check out Steves site and keep searching.
thanks
Tom
Philip Aug 1st, 08, 12:23 AM 194, 230 and 250 are all the same. One from a 292 may also work.
Hot66ss Aug 1st, 08, 12:32 AM Hey Phil got any idea on a year range? This part seems to be causing me a lot of greif!
Thanks
Tom

Hey Tom,
This would be great news. There are several 78-80 Chevy/GMC trucks out there that would have a straight six. Check your local junkyard and they would probably be able to get you one within a day or less. Hey I also have a couple of 6 cyl. radiators and little six cylinder odds and ends that I didn't get rid of when I got rid of the engine. Don't know what stage you're in and want to help if possible.

63CHVII Aug 1st, 08, 12:36 AM I'm surprised Johnny hasn't jumped in on this. Johnny had this little radio cup that holds the radio and bezel together in the dash and sent it to me for my birthday. I would love to see his spare parts counter:D
Philip Aug 1st, 08, 12:51 AM Year range would be from 64 up into the 80's when they quit making the inline engine. Car and truck would be the same. I gave away the last on I had about a month ago.
Hot66ss Aug 1st, 08, 02:58 AM Gentleman,
Do you guys think this style would work as a replacement without problems? http://i20.ebayimg.com/08/i/001/00/e3/8ecd_1.JPG
Philip Aug 1st, 08, 07:53 PM It should be fine. The area that bolts to the head appears to be correct.
raidmagic Aug 2nd, 08, 12:02 AM I have one just like the one you have pictured. The only difference is that tube points of instead of to the side. The one you are showing is from a truck. If you want my extra one you can have it for $20 shipped. That's what I paid for it.
Hot66ss Aug 5th, 08, 04:51 AM Thanks for the offer, I think I have located one, if it falls through I will repost here.
Thanks again,
Tom
SHIFTY4 Aug 5th, 08, 11:49 AM that part is available through the restoration suppliers i believe...
make sure ya use some anti sieze or a good sealer on the temp switch... that's why most get broken, removal of a stuck/bad switch.
