View Full Version : Can anyone help me decode block/heads?

head casting number: 3927186 best I can find is 69-70 Camel Hump heads, 64cc chambers...is this correct?
block casting numbers: (near bellhousing) 3970010
(on pad on front of engine at right side head) C4B102591 and V0809TKT
Only info I can seem to find on block is that it could be 302,327, or 350

Danno pointed you to the website of Mortec. I, too, suggest you bookmark this for future reference. There is another that has a lot of good information called "Chevy Mania." Their web page may be looked at by entering www.chevymania.com (http://www.chevymania.com) When the web page comes up, go to the top and click parts I.D. I find this is a good reference for both sb & bb Chevrolets.

thats the exact same engine and head combo I have...mines a 4 bolt 350 but bored 60over...and my heads were cleaned up a bit with stainless valves and all....
