Bit the bullet today. Just ordered a pair of 15x12 wheels for the rear of my '63. Yes the frame and trunk floor are stock. And the 9" rear is 50" backplate to back plate.

So now I have mucho work ahead of me to get these wheels under there!!!:clonk:

Sounds cool Jeff...I have a set of 15"x12" centerlines on my car too...not sure which version of centerlines they are but they are from about 1979 or there abouts...what size of Mickey's are ya going to run? How big will the tubs be, etc, etc...common Jeff dont hold out...we need details...lol

that I cant say for sure they were on the car when i bought it in '88. Now the fronts are weldwheels from back then too and the rears are either centerlines (which I think they are) or cragers.....

They are bolts...they are badly tarnished as the car sat for well over a decade(92-05)....The rims will need a complete refurbish down th eroad...for the time being they are just stacked out of the way in the shop...

Ya that is a picture during the dissassembly...the car is just a shell at the moment....I havent done really anything on it in the last few weeks as I had to use the garage as a storage place for funiture out of the house cause the wife and I did a little project in out family room...sooo I HOPE to get that stuff outta there today and will get back to the welding tommorow....BTW...looking forward to the pistons arriving...serious compression...here I come;)

HEY!!!...thanks...that looks just like mine...so they are Cragers NOT centerlines...well thats cool too....:D

Ya I want to get them and the fronts polished and replace the bolts on the Cragers with polished stainless bolts I hope...should look nice when done I would think...;)

Well cool...then stainless it is...BTW you said those rims are two piece...will them come apart into two pieces when I remove those bolts?

a little practice with the 4door is just what the doctor ordered...by the time your done with that you'll be ready to dive into the tub job....:)

Nightshade....I ended up getting Weld Pro-Stars 15x14 inchers and Mickey Thompson SR Radial 29x18 tires...you want to talk wide!!!!

No its gonna sit now, need $$$$ for a rearend and front clip. So the 4door comes first. Besides I havn't welded since highschool and that was Gas and Arc, so I need mucho practico.
