Philip Jun 22nd, 08, 01:30 AM I tried it once and ruined the whole radiator. It seems that the tubes are mounted in a solder that will melt easily if heat is improperly applied. Since I did improperly apply heat I had to purchase a new radiator. Big Dave Jun 22nd, 08, 09:59 AM I have closed off leaking tubes and soldered them shut due to mechanical damage from debris off of the roadway. When you have a corroded tube that is leaking the tube wall is so thin that it will hardly ever seal again without some professional disassembling and rebuilding the radiator (which usually costs more than a new part).
