They were new Sportsman L6015 "I's" that I have had for sale for awhile and no one exactly beat a path to my door for them so I get a call tonight from a buddy who had this old drag car 4 DOOR, I have time slips in the 8's on a 8th mile track that were in the car, Its titled, But he's keeping the engine and trans, I keep the 10 bolt. I get 2 15x7 rally wheels and an extra manual steering box. The roof is REALLY bad like a tree fell on it at some point w LOTS of bondo that is now peeling, But I figure it was worth the tires, nice front clip, redone sub frame, gauges, 4 core radiator all there. I needed a test car to fire up and break in my 460 BBC, so this fell into my lap w nothing. but a pr of tires + title change out of pocket. Not sure IF I'll do it ,but I will bolt in the BBC to break it in (I have EVERYTHING left from the 72 Nova drag car) then either dump the roller or do it.

It is, but after braking in the 460 BBC, its worth more in parts than the 3 bills on the tires ,other than some flaking paint on the fenders that front clip is NICE! :thumbsup:

i'm not all that keen on 3rd Genners but if that's a '68 and it has an ashtray and the slide mechanism for it i'd hang onto it... a year or so ago they were worth their weight in GOLD ;)

yep, 68 but no ash tray, the Autometer Monster Tach is mounted there. I know where one is if I want to change it (no, I will not grab it to resell it, only if I use it on my car. It belongs to a freind + I can have it under that condition) I'm not hot on the '62-5's or '66-7's ,I like them, but too much work and expense building them right to handle BBC's w/o cutting them up. I am no longer into that kind of thing. Neat little SBC or full on BBC Pro Street/Drag cars tho.

Decided to just roll it over , Talked to my machinist yesterday eve.-WOW! custom BBC machining is SPENDY-OUCH!
