Big Dave SHIFTY4 Jun 10th, 08, 01:28 AM Tom, i think that i'd get a spare set of hubs that are 5 lug for the fronts and get the rear axles redrilled... better yet, upgrade the brakes to the '64's larger drums (again, 5 lug) for better brakes... better YET i'd upgrade to a disc set up... but the question was regarding wheels... so, what i'd do is compare an import's bolt circle and see what's available that would fit the ChevyII. if you're not all that stuck on originality though i'd spend the extra bucks and get a suspension/brake system upgrade ;) Big Dave Jun 10th, 08, 11:49 AM Failing in that, like I said earlier they used to make wheels for four lug cars like the (Chevy II, Corvair and the Mustang II). Here is an old add from Cragar Wheels. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f63/3454545/017_08_73_CC047.jpg Big Dave tomona Jun 10th, 08, 09:54 PM I've been driving this nova 41 years and safty and handling have never been a problem. I would like to dress it up some but without major changes Nova Bob Jun 11th, 08, 01:51 PM I had two 63 Nova 400's over the years both with 4 lug 13" wheels. I upgraded both to 4 lug 14" Rally Wheels with GM Trim rings and Center Caps. Everything was bought from Stockton wheel in CA. There on the web at www.Stockton (http://www.Stockton) wheel.com. They make the wheels right there and it usually takes about 3 weeks for delivery. I thought they looked great on my 63 Convertible. Stockton will echo that there is no company that makes a 13" mag wheel or something fancy for a 4 lugger. Now consider that you'll invest @ $900 plus to do this wheel conversion but it's up to you..Give Stockton a call with your questions as there good folks to deal with. Good Luck Bob in CT |
