This is really bugging me. I bought a New Correct 65 Chev II Chrome Gas Cap. It's still NOT lining up horizontally with the body lines. Still has a slant that looks crooked. WHAT GIVES? My gas filler neck is original. What can be done to turn it another 1/4 inch to be right ??? It's as tight as I can get it. Still needs to go alittle tighter...HELP..

i'd say the cap is "clocked" incorrectly...

is this an OEM/NOS cap or a reproduction ???

It's a chrome repo. Mabey I'll try bending one of the tangs in alittle. all I need is 1/4 of an inch to be straight...

maybe the filler tabs could be filed... the filler tube would need to be removed though unless ya LIKE mushroom clouds :eek: ;)
