hello looking for advice on qtr panel replacement on 72 nova. Need a little help on how to fit qtr at corner of window because of window molding not being removed. I am not replacing sailpanel I cut it off new qtr. Do you leave the corner on car and fit it like a skin? any help please?

Is it possible for you to get a shot of the area so we can better understand the problem you are facing? This will help us get a visual of the area in which you speak of.

Keith,why not take the trim off?

Most body shops will leave that area intact due to fit and finish. In other words, they would usually leave about 2-3" inches of the panel intact so they don't warp or screw up the body lines as demonstrated in this picture:

yes it was a full factory style qtr.

I searched on this site and on Stevesnovasite and found an old thread on how to remove trim. This forum is a wealth of information for a novice.
