Dan and I have been slaving away in the shop. We are almost finsihed building the new 408 small block. It will be a 500/500 engine with aluminum heads and a fat hyd roller. I can't wait to see what the '71 Nova will do with a 500HP 408 SBC, TH350, 3500 RPM converter and the 4.56 spooled 10-bolt. We hope to be a the track by the end of summer. It will for sure run low 7's in the 1/8th, maybe 6's! YEHAW!

After the engine install comes a 6 point cage and the subframe connectors!

I measured for pushrod length and ordered the parts. I also ordered the new Hedman Hustler 1 3/4" x 3" headers. All those parts arrived today, man the headers look SWEET! We should be finished with the engine in a week or two and I will post pics! :thumbsup:
