I have a 74 nova hatchback and my rear bumper is junk. I was wondering if anyone knows where i may be able to get one. I have looked everywhere!!! Also I am somewhat interested in converting all the bumpers, grille, fillers, and hood to a 72. Im not concerned with the gas filler nozzle or tail panel just yet. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Converting from the Big Rubber Babbie Bumpers to the 1968-'72 style has been discused many times. You will need to search in the archives to see what others have posted with pictures. Just click on the "search tab in the top menu bar.

73\74 are transition year novas that just a few parts that year spacific are avelable in after market. As for the bumpers, best bet recrome junkyard or ebay.the frount end convertion is bolt on with some drilling of new holes for the bumper. All of the parts needed except for the top grill support and grill side brackets are avelable in after market. For the rear all parts needed except the fuel tank/ trunk supports are avalable. Because of the bumper shocks being mounted inside of the rear frame rails they will need altered ,narrowed so the 72 trunck pan will fit and the inside bumper braket bolts don"t fall inside the frame. also the flange on the trunk floor for 72 is a little longer. Before doing any mods I woud suggest finding someone with a 68-72 nova that will let you take pictures of all the differnces.
