Does anybody know how the ss hood louvers would look on a 2 inch cowl hood? Has anybody seen this done or think it would look good?

Thanks,
Conor

I'm not sure they would look right. Aren't they close to the center point of the hood so that they would be on top of the cowl rise?

The SS Camaro uses either hood louvers (six false carb stacks) or a cowl hood but not both. I would follow the factories lead in this.

I've thought about doing this many times myself. (on a 4" cowl hood) I'm not too sure how it would look. I'd hate to put holes in a new hood just to decide it looks like crap. BUT I have a sneaking suspision it might look cool.

I'll give it my best shot if someone will take a nice clean picture of a hood from straight on and a picture of the louvers at the same angle. I looked online for some I could do it with the other day but wasn't able to find anything I could make look good enough for a real idea.

J&W Nova catalog already has a pic of this on a red Nova. I dont hsve s pic or scanner handy. Maybe tomorrow at work. In all honesty, and this is MY opinion, but it looked terrible to me.
