Hello everyone, I am putting togather a 70 big block car to run on the strip. I bought it minus the motor(ha-ha-ha). Anyway all of the door and trunk rubber seals are gone. Can you guys tell me the best source or does anyone have any nos seals laying around trhat you want to get rid of? Thanks a bunch!

I would think NOS seals would be as rotted as the ones that the last owner removed as they were sponge rubber made out of natural gum that decomposes like most living things. Todays they use plastics which if kept out of the sun should give archeologists two eons in the future pause to try and figure out what all the black plastic rings are that they find lying around near iron ore deposits.

Good point; please allow me to rephraise. Does anyone have any plastic seals that Dave spoke of laying around that they would like to get rid of?
(Thanks Dave).

They are not that expensive. I would go to a place like J&W Nova 434-685-4310 or Scotts Classic Cars 276-629-7878. They have competitive prices. New will last longer than any someone has laying around because of the way they fasten.
