Hi Nova Dudes,

I am building a race dash out of my original dash. I just took the plastic intstrument panel out and plan to put nicely fabricated peice of sheet-metal in its place with gauges, tach, and speedo. Would this be the best way to go? Anyone have pics of their custom dashes?

I built one for the ElCanimo and plan on doing one for the Nova. It used the 3 3/8" speedo and tach with the 2 1/16" oil,temp, fuel level, and volt gages. with LED lites for high beam, and blinkers. I'm real sorry I don't have pictures. If you find the picture of the Covans dash for the 69-72 nova's it was the same arrangement.
I made poster board circles for the guage size's and the opening and arrange them to fit. It looks like for the Nova you may have to cut the portion for the Idiot lites to make more room for everything to fit. using a piece of lexan or similar material is easier to work with.
