so if i want to make my column shift a floor shift would there be a very noticeable hole in the steering column?

is there anything i can do about this besides new steering column?

also does any body know of anywhere to get a decent reproduction console?
and what aftermarket shifters fit in them?

sorry for the noob-ish questions
thanks a million team nova!

i removed the shift nub on my '65's steering column... here's an album of what i did: http://rides.webshots.com/album/558844843epjeQm

now on your column the ignition switch is located there also so i know it's different... might give ya an idea of a "possibility though.

with the Lever removed it leaves a 1"x3/4's" space also theres a actuator rod inside the column that runs from the cylinder down and theres a plate which binds that rod (acts as backup to neutral safty switch) so you cant turn the key if out of the "park" position...

IIRC for our 70's (69-72) columns fit (I think 68 fits as well but the keys in the dash) and (67-69) Camaro columns fit.. might consider a 69 camaro w/tilt column? ;)
