Hello,

I bought a 65 Nova and I'm trying to do minor repairs to the interior
can;t figure out how to remove door glass to change weather strip,
also trying to replace rear deck shelf and can't get the back seat out.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hey Stacy, welcome to Team Nova

best bet is to get an "Assemby Manual" and a "Fisher Body Manual" they'll both come in handy while working on your '65.

here's a link for the Fisher Manual http://www.gregsonline.com/

the assembly manual can be purchased from almost all the restoration suppliers...

the rear seat... inside the car where the lower portion meets the floor, about 6" in from the door panels you'll find that if you push in and up the seat will unlatch and it can then be removed... the upper portion can be removed once the lower section is out... here's an album that shows the 3rd genner seat removal, it's basically the same: http://rides.webshots.com/album/289460018NgLaxm

i can help you on the window removal instructions too... but the info is no longer hosted at my site. send me an E-Mail at john@jollyrodder.com and i'll return your e mail with the pages of info...

hope i've helped,

JRotten

Thanks for the help, got the seat out, pretty easy once you see whats holding it
in there, I will be e-mailing yoy for help with the windows.
Little tasks that you are going to be an easy fix turn not to be.

Thanks again
Stacy

Hey you're welcome ;)

i try to check the website's e mail daily but sometimes i forget  whenever your ready to tackle the windows give me a shout... ya know, if you'd like to get the info in full you can purchase a "Fisher Body Manual" and an "Assembly Manual" (info posted above)... there's a ton of info in those books and if you're planning on a lot of work repairing/restoring the car you'll find the manuals worth more than what they cost ;)

if the window info is all ya need at this time, as i said, whenever you're ready shoot me a line ;)
