just got my 70 nova with inline6 and powerglide, drove it home and noticed that when you get to 50mph, it starts to hesistate and jerk...what could be the problem...i know the flexplate weld broke loose and it was welded back together but it didn't come out perfectly straight could that be a problem?

I doubt it.... is it a engine jerk? like the engine quites pulling for a sec.? then picks back up again?

are you running points? how old is the tune up? cap and rotor is good shape?, plug wires? plugs? is the vacuum advance working and is the dash pot holding a vacuum when applied? advance weights moving freely? advance weight bushings in good shape? compression check?

just replaced points, condensor, cap, and rotor, haven't had a chance to drive...cars on jack stands with no trans...need to find a trans that will easily swap for my powerglide
