My dad and I have a 70 Cougar XR7 that origonaly hade a 351C. My dad bought a 302 creat motor for the car dose anybody know what the horsepower rateing is on this motor?

289/302's don't make power until you throw alot of parts at them and seriously work the heads! The heads if stock, flow nothing.

What are the engine specs?

I know the factory rating for my 73 Mustang, 2bbl, is only 141 Horsepower. These aren't hi-po engines but they have alot of potential when you start throwing big cams and valves in there:D

I just finished building a 325 HP 289 for a '66 Mustang. NICE!

Normally I have to go over to the mustang boards and spy on them so I can get the numbers I need to beat to eat mustangs. Guess those mustang guys are starting to realize the GM boys know how to build horsepower.:)
