Hey guys it's Casey, I was at a carshow in Canton, Ga a few days ago and saw somthing I've never seen before. A spoiler on a 69 Nova. It looked like the classic spoiler they had on the Camaros bolted right on the trunk. I liked the look of it but am hesitant to put one on my Nova. Did they actually put spoilers on Nova's and if I put one on mine would it kill my value and get people making fun of me? Thanks for any info.

I will definitely have to research my back issues of Primedia car mags as one of those titles (might even have read it in Chevy Rumble which is a Buckaroo publishing mag) showed a tribute car built as if Chevy had offered the Z/28 option in the 1969 Nova. It had every feature of a 1969 Z including the Camaro rear spolier adapted to fit the Nova trunk. Suprisingly it was painted Hugger Orange with two white stripes and included the Nova seats covered in the houndstouth fabric that was only offered in the Z.

I'll look further into it before I make the decision as to wether or not i'l put one on there, i just wanted to make sure i wouldn't be the laughing stock of the neighborhood or that i wouldn't kill the value. I really like the look of it so i'm leaning toward getting one. This site is quite the info jackpot, yall are awesome.

Hey Casey Don't worry about what anyone thinks. Build the car the way you want it:thumbsup:

Now if you are planning an selling it then yes you better build it the way they want it. But come on I thought we build these cars for us:)

I myself think that 3rd gen looked great with the dam and spoiler if they made that for 2nd gen I think I would install it just cus it is diffrent;)

I totally agree with building the car the way i want it. I figured if i'm the one putting all the money and effort into it, it's gonna look the way i want it to look. I love the look of the spoiler so i'll probably end up doing it. Thanks for the support.

Someone wrote in after that article wanting to know where to get one of those spoilers. They made it themselves by modifying a Z-28 one (or two :D). I think it looks nice.
