I have a 69 nova 396-375 block with a vin # how can I track down the car it belongs to? Do I have to do a title search in each state?

I read alot of posts on the net from people who are looking for a specific car. Most states won't give you personal information to to privacy laws. The general opinion is that you would need to find a friendly police officer who is willing to look the VIN up in their system. Doing this seems to be a no-no but if you find an understanding cop who likes cars he may be willing to help you out.

Go t o all the nova sites you can find and post the vin# off the motor.

You might get lucky and hook up with the owner of the car if it's still in existence.
