SHIFTY4 Mar 1st, 08, 11:43 AM i don't have an answer for ya other than this... they've probably been making that tire for sometime... i'd think they'd have done some testing etc... i'd think if they recommend a wheel that's 8 or 10 wide they have a reason for doing so... i would listen to that experience and go from there ;) Johnny (probably) not giving the answer you wanted :( gfercaks33 Mar 1st, 08, 04:14 PM my buddy just put some tires on his car that are too big for his rims size, he is doing ok with them but he has had them for 2 weeks now. so i dont know what to tell you jim454 Mar 8th, 08, 05:18 PM If you run a tire that is too big for the rim you run the risk of rolling the tire off the rim in a high speed cornering manuever,VERY BAD! Go with the recommended size ,unless you don't mind a lot of body-work.It also wears the tire out early because the tire is kind of bubbled up in the center. Philip Mar 8th, 08, 07:48 PM According to the BF Goodrich chart (http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs/radial-t-a/12.html) the wheel size for that tire is 7.5" - 9.5", a 7" may be a little small. CR74hb Mar 9th, 08, 01:23 AM Thanks guys I found another tire that recommends a 7in rim so Im lookin at them now thanks for the help:) |
