iam thinking about geting a chevy 2 only rad. L79 TYPE anybody runing one of those rads. its the optima core type, its for a v8 4 speed 63 nova

Have you considered a Summit 380325? It is an aluminum rad (no internal tranny cooler) and measures 25.75" wide X 19" high X 2.25" thick (total dimensions including tanks). It goes for $170. I've got one in my 63 and it keeps my mild smallblock running pretty cool.
