I have been experimenting with putting an LED panel in my Nova tail lights. I tried one of the small oval one from a trailer and it didn't seem to have enough light output. I knew it had to be bigger and brighter. I purchased a set for my El Camino from one of our sponsers, MuscleRodz (http://musclerodzstore.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=509), and before installing them in the El Camino I tried them in the Nova housings. They fit really well and light up the big lens completely. It is amazing how bright these things are. I tried to take some photos but my camera won't capture how good these lights look. The photos make it look like you can see each bulb and it doesn't appear that way to the eye. The bulbs actually are red and make the lights look a deeper red than the lens with a clear bulb did. here are the photos but they look a lot better in person.

I will soon be ordering another set to put in the Nova.

How much were those bad boys, and do they have two speeds (flash brighter for turn and stop)? LED's should draw next to nothing as far as power goes, and that should help with tired old wiring due to corroded terminals and bad grounds.

PS
Don't know if that is a digital camera or not as I have little experience with one. I do have a second Bachelors degree (first is in Engineering from back in the dark ages) in Fine Arts degree in Studio Art-Photography back from when camera's used film. Try a tripod, if you have one, to reduce camera shake caused by long exposure times (such as trying to photograph in low light situations) of a half second or longer. If not place he camera on something and hold it down forcibly while you shoot (ex. back of a kitchen chair, or something else that can fight back).

Yes all 52 get brighter when in stop or turn mode. They cost $59.95 for the pair.

I might hafta look into that... The taillights on the 64 are really dim compared to today's cars, even though they're working properly. I have a couple of spare taillight housings to play with. $60/pr seems steep to me, maybe it's just the cheap b***ard in me though. Beats getting rearended...
