Funny, just noticed on the SYC site that they posted a bunch of cars in CT being sold, white 69 Covette 427/435 Hp car (Malcolm Konner Car, Paramus NJ, I believe, very original)GSX,Original 1969 Motion unrestored Camaro and a Orange 1969 Corvette Motion car.I personally looked at the Orange Motion Corvette when it was in NJ. It was offered to me,but no build sheet,no original motor,no original trans,no paperwork,no old vintage pictures,no copy of title to see ownership or determine how many owners by prefix in front of vin on title. Oh yeah missing most of interior, damage to fiberglass on passenger side.Have pictures to prove,in my digital camera. One thing I noticed is by the redline on the factory tach and the cover for the shift plate it was originally a 427/435 tri power car.Now on the SYC the owner is making it a Phase III L-88 car . I passed on this because I heard ,won't mention who, that it was a catalog car.The same person mention the kid that owned it contacted Rosen and wasn't happy what he said, gonna keep that to myself though. What I'm getting at though if you saw the Stacker hood on the Orange Motion Corvette and looked underneath it was molded together, stinger scoop was not graphted to the hood. Now comes the good part, when I saw Brooklyn Heavys Black Motion 1969 Corvette you could definitly see the Stinger scoop was graphted to the original corvette hood, totally different .Sooo if these are both 1969 Motion Corvettes why is there a difference, vins are close, have both. By the way go to Kevin Suydams site and look at Kevins 1969 Motion Corvette that is blue with white stripes,Heavys car is the sister car to this one.. They both looked the same except for the color, one being lemans blue and the other being Tuxcedo black. Heres another thing most don't know or few could,Heavys car was originally Lemans Blue! Heavys car still has the Black Lacquer paint which has seened its better days, but you can find the original blue all over the car on the edges of the panels peaking thru.Cowel tag also says Lemans blue paint originally!! By the way I could of bought the Orange 69 Corvette for between $20,000.00 to $25,000,00 but just too much BS dealing with certain people on certain cars.
