Can you guys please help me out...Can anyone please tell me the exact distance from the outer edge of the hood to the edge of the hood grills and the distance from the windshield edge of the hood to the beginning of the grills...thanks....

16 and 3/4 inches from the side and 6 inches from the windshield end

I believe it would be 16 3/4 to the edge of the grille, and 17.625 to the hole for the stud to go through.

FWIW, one pair of the studs for the hood lounvers actually go through one of the underhood braces. As far as I know ALL Novas have this set of holes punched through the hood braces whether or not its an SS. Just find the holes. Drill them from the underside through the hood skin. Line the louver up on with these holes from the top of the hood and mark the remaining holes. Too easy. Good luck.

never to late for information 69novaSS....thanks for everyones help....the aftermarket hood didn't have any markings...and threw old hood out...anyways...installed the grills and they look like the were there from day one...once again...thanks for the info....Joe
