Anyone Out There Have An Extra?? Rob SHIFTY4 Jan 18th, 08, 05:04 PM what year is the car (in case it's needed) and did you ground it ??? and Yes, there is an armature inside... it's an electric motor ;) rob hunt Jan 18th, 08, 05:19 PM It Is 63 Nova Ss I Have Power To I Guess I Here Clicking Under The Hood SHIFTY4 Jan 18th, 08, 05:22 PM underneath the dash is the wiper transmission... that's the rods that connect to the wiper motor, it's very possible the wiper motor is working but the clippie holding the transmission to the motor has come off... if that's happened the motor will be working but still no wipers. grab a flashlight and see if you can eyeball it. if needed i can scan a picture from the assembly manual if it'd help... rob hunt Jan 18th, 08, 05:30 PM I Can Here Clicking Under The Hood But Nothing I Took The Motor Off And It Has No Armature Inside On The Field Side I Guess That Is What Its Called . I Checked Under The Dash An Everthing Appears Ok . Wouldn't There Be A Noise From The Motor If It Was Working??. SHIFTY4 Jan 18th, 08, 05:35 PM well, it's a quiet running motor so it won't really be what ya call noisy... on one of the grommets that hold the motor on (the bolts pass through the mount grommets) it gets grounded from one of those points... so by removing the motor from the car you might not have it grounded while testing... maybe ??? with the wiper motor removed it can be checked with a 12v source and ground... touch battery terminals and it should either work, or not. this is a single speed motor, i'm assuming... i'm hoping i'm helpin' ya... let me know if ya need ta see the assy manny pages, i'll grab 'em and post 'em for ya... rob hunt Jan 18th, 08, 10:32 PM I Tried It But Could Never Get It To Do Anything. Why Would Anyone Take The Thank Apart And Then Leave It. If You Don't Mine Send Me The Picture Breakdown. SHIFTY4 Jan 18th, 08, 10:58 PM uh-oh, maybe i misled you or you misunderstood me... i don't have a breakdown of the wiper motor... i have the assembly manual that covers the wiper motor/transmission installation... here it is if it'll help http://good-times.webshots.com/album/562183937YXsxlP if the motor has been disassembled and it is missing parts, that i can't help you with a picture, sorry... if it's missing parts i'd recommend placing an ad in the classifieds here at the site for a good used one... i'd think it'd go for 20-40 bucks or so... check E-Pay for one also... sorry about the picture misunderstanding... i wish ya the best ;) Johnny rob hunt Jan 19th, 08, 01:20 AM Ok I Thank You Philip Jan 19th, 08, 11:50 AM Parts America (http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductList.aspx?PartType=1313&PTSet=A) lists 3, a single speed, a 2 speed with 3 terminals and a 2 speed with 4 terminals.
