Just remember everyone has to start somewhere, Right Mr. Clary? http://www.rabbitstoys.com/pics/asfound.jpg sYc Nov 13th, 05, 10:32 PM Waiting, hum... no. ;) Been working on putting together another supercar showcase for the Spring Edition of Chevy Vettefest. Hopefully some of the good folks who hang out here will join us. :beers: And yes, everyone has to start somewhere. I started with a 1966 Chevelle convert., 283 with a powerglide. Wish I had kept it. YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY Nov 14th, 05, 10:40 AM Some people actually own Supercars! Mine is here, and it runs the number in the 1320!! http://www.yenko.net/features/2001/August2001.htm sYc Nov 14th, 05, 11:33 AM Speaking of racing, here is a picture from SCR8 of my son Rob racing our 427 powered Yenko Nova against Pete Simpson in his ZL-1 powered COPO Camaro. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/Rick_Peters/scr8x30042.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 11:48 AM Another cool Nova racing at SCR8. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/Rick_Peters/scr8x30014.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 11:50 AM Another, A Gibb Nova. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/02zl1_97ss/SCR8/8thAnnualSupercarReunion125.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 11:55 AM Yenko Deuce making its first public appearance in many years, having just been purchased from its original owner. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1576.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 11:56 AM L-78 Dana Nova being unload at SCR8. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1592.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 12:01 PM A work in progress, a Gibb/Harrell Nova from the Super Car Workshop. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1601.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 12:14 PM The winning Nova from the Deuce Shootout at the track on Friday. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y9/yenkopictures/SCR8/tn_DSCF1741.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 12:15 PM Hard to beat the looks of a Blue Yenko Deuce. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1708.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 12:19 PM Another 1969 427 Yenko Nova. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1704.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 12:21 PM Ray Morrison's 427 Gibb/Harrell Nova, that he bought new. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y9/yenkopictures/SCR8/tn_DSCF1717.jpg YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY Nov 14th, 05, 12:54 PM Bottom line? Quality! No clones, no fakes, no BS - just real supercars, done right, and being raced - how can you fault that? :) DetroitHorsepower(Rabbit) Nov 14th, 05, 03:20 PM Nice cars in the photos. Mr. C. maybe instead of adding photos and waiting on back up and working on the next Vette Fest Maybe you should be spending the time to work on getting your own show up to par. I'll see everyone back on the board for the real "american" musclecars on my site. WWW.DETROITHORSEPOWER.COM (http://www.DETROITHORSEPOWER.COM) Oh yea and Mr. Spotts it looks that by your remark earlier, Today 09:40 AMYENKO DEUCE REGISTRYSome people actually own Supercars! Mine is here, and it runs the number in the 1320!! that you look down on probably 90% of the members of this site that do not own a supercar. So just continue as you do best http://www.detroithorsepower.com/forum/Smileys/custom/kissit (javascript:void(0);). Scott "Rabbit" YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY Nov 14th, 05, 03:45 PM Sorry Scott, I was referring to you - not the members of this site! Keep the clones and fakes on your site where they belong. Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 04:08 PM For some reason the color on the 69 Yenko Nova looks incorrect. What is the color code for the car? Maybe just the lighting. Also, is that a red Deuce or a Rebel Machine? I use to own the Blue Deuce above. Probably should not have sold it the prices are crazy! Thankfully the car went to a great owner and I can still enjoy it right here in good old Iowa. Thankfully, I have been able to locate another beautiful, rust free, Blue, 4 speed Deuce that I am in the process of working out a deal on. Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 04:18 PM Oh, a few more things. The Gold Nova sold at Dana looks real nice. Appears to be great quality. The way you have labeled the picture is a Dana Nova. Was there something done to the car at Dana or is this an L-78 Nova that was sold at Dana? Could be semantics that I am getting caught up on. Appreciate the clarification. Scott, face the facts. Marlina is cooler than you because he has a GOBI BEIGE Duece. Marlina, knock him down because he does not have a Supercar. You are a great hobbyist. I think you are insecure. I would be insecure if my Deuce was at the bottom of the Deuce chain too! But, you are right about one thing, your Deuce does have the original firewall so technically you do own a Supercar. YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY Nov 14th, 05, 04:59 PM You guys are just too funny, still doing the name calling thing eh? Grow up, and move on Clint. Funny how you talk big here on a site, but when I pulled my beige deuce 19 hours to your back yard in Iowa - you snuck away without a face to face! I have the full photo history on my deuce btw, no problems there - but nice try! Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 05:12 PM Go ahead and change subject Marlin. When you were at the show if I recall correctly, you were nowhere to be found. I stood in front of your car and gave it a good looking over. Where were you? Also if I remember correctly, Schoyne pointed me out to you. But of course, you were nowhere in site. Take this comment to the bank, "You will never be standing in front of me making one of your smart mouth comments". If you did, you wouldn't be standing long". Now you have come on this site and bashed it's members. To top it all off, you are now trying to play the tough guy. Well go right ahead, you are playing the fool. Schoyne explained to me that you had an interest in barrying the hatchet with me. I have no interest in doing so with you. I call you Marlina because you act more like my sister than a man. You may hold a Deuce Registry but all of your senseless banter make you just another jerkoff in the hobby. Take care. Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 05:17 PM Since Marlin and his butt buddies make a habbit of doing this on all of the car sites, can we lock this one and call it good entertainment? And Marlin, don't you mean DVDs (plural). I would think one DVD would not be enough space to document a restoration that had such extensive sheetmetal work. YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY Nov 14th, 05, 05:24 PM Snore.....ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 05:30 PM Wake up Marlin, after years of work, they are almost done replacing the sheetmetal on your car. YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY Nov 14th, 05, 06:04 PM The name calling & the humour attempts...ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Ooops, there I went again... ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 06:28 PM Good comeback Marlin, you're a bright one. sYc Nov 14th, 05, 06:30 PM Clint, Not for sure of the code, but the Yenko Nova is Fathom Green, owned by a friend from Canada. Turned down over $500,000 for the car at SCR8. The Deuce with the odd (but cool) looking hood scoop, as you know, is owned by Schonye. I know Schonye is a big boy, and can fend for himself, so I will leave the explanation of whether his car is a Deuce or a Rebel Machine up to him. Rabbit, I take the time to post pictures on this site, and others, as a way to promote our hobby, and also, simply to allow folks a chance to see these rare cars. In regards to Vettefest, once again a way to promote our hobby while at the same time allowing folks the chance to see these rare cars up close and personal. Of course getting to hang out with lots of sYc members for 3 days, including Helen Gibb, is kind of neat. Last but not least, "bring my show up to par?" What is par? The sYc held the first Supercar Reunion 8 years, the first, and is still the only show of its kind. The list of rare cars and celebrities who have attended reads like a "who's who" in the supercar hobby. Because of the success of the SCR, the sYc has been ask by other shows to set up displays, do seminars and help attract supercars to their event, which we gladly do. Vettefest, the Gibb show, York US30 and just this past summer, the Nova Nats, where Marlin was the guest speaker, talking about Yenkos. I guess what I am saying is, you can bash cars, call names, whatever you want, but not me. I will leave such childish stuff to my grandchildren. I will stick to sharing my adventures with others and hearing about theirs. sYc Nov 14th, 05, 06:36 PM More of the Dana Nova. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1594.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1593.jpg http://www.yenko.net/attachments/156689-SCR8056.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 06:54 PM A better shot of the Yenko Duece with the one of a kind hood scoop. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1709.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 06:56 PM Helen Gibb's Nova. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y9/yenkopictures/SCR8/tn_DSCF1716.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 06:59 PM Belonging to the Yenko Deuce Registry. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1713.jpg sYc Nov 14th, 05, 07:06 PM Rare site, a couple of Yenko Deuces and a Harrell Camaro in the pits. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1626.jpg Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 07:18 PM Tom, thanks for the response. I am actually referring to the color of your Yenko Nova, not the green one. I don't really care to know what the guy was offered. Why do you? You still have not answered me about the Gold L-78 Nova sold at Dana. I thought your show was for Supercars? I must admit, you are good at some things like self promotion and stroking your own ego. It is just a shame that you have to pirate another person's welcome post to do it. Typical Tom Clary fashion. You are your biggest fan. If anyone is tired of seeing self promotion and features of Tom's cars in magazines, attend a real show called "The Forge". All who were there can attest. Tom, It has to sting a little bit when members have attended your show and the Forge say there is no comparison and that Tim's show is far better. The Forge is far superior which is sad to say considering you have been doing your show for eight years. Nice job Tim, you are doing good for a crazy misfit. If you own a Supercar, Tim's show is a must. Tom, sip your Chradonay and smoke your cigars while talking about your $500,000 car. I will hang out with real cars guys at the Forge and have a beer or two. See ya gramps. By the way, welcome to the site Dan. sYc Nov 14th, 05, 07:38 PM Clint, why so negative all the time, lighten up. BTW, You mean this Nova? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/xplantdad/Super%20Car%20Reunion%208/tn_DSCF1699.jpg Or this one? http://www.yenko.net/attachments/SC4.jpg Or this one? http://www.yenko.net/attachments/CR3.jpg Clint_69 Nov 14th, 05, 07:43 PM Yes, that Nova. I am sure you will be selling autographed copies on ebay soon. Im am not being negative Tom, I just don't like you. But, I must admit, it's a great car. It looks better in natural sunlight. The lighting in the other picture makes it look purple. By the way, welcome to the site Dan. LVCamaro Nov 14th, 05, 10:28 PM You're a very patient man, AL...thanks for all you do for the online community of car enthusiasts. SS camcojb Nov 14th, 05, 10:48 PM Yes, that Nova. I am sure you will be selling autographed copies on ebay soon. Im am not being negative Tom, I just don't like you. But, I must admit, it's a great car. It looks better in natural sunlight. The lighting in the other picture makes it look purple. By the way, welcome to the site Dan. Tone it down a bit, or take it off the site. This stuff won't fly here. Jody RPOZ28 Nov 14th, 05, 11:29 PM Got any pictures of the blue yenko Nova before the resto. Ed |
