That looks real good, I like the black bezel with the white face gauges. Are you going to use a shift light? I have thought about it but in all the years I have been banging gears I knew when to shift without looking at the tach. In the El Camino I look at the tach but shifting an auto trans doesn't require much concentration so I have plenty of time on my hands "rolleyes:

I am assuming you needed numbers that big to be able see them :D

i wasn't really planning on a shift light but i'm sure that one could be utilized. the mods are quite easy, really only important thing is to take one's time...

you baggin' on me 'cause i'm blind ???

that's nuthin' new :D

I have 2 of those 62 only bezels. I'm thinking of sending them both in for rechrome since I like them alot more then the 63-65 ones.

Nick, biggest/most important item needed are the guages.

i need everything included for final fitting etc... if/when ya have the guages, i'm sure we can work something out. ;)

yes, 5" outer guages, the smaller/center guage is 2-1/16"

one thing i took into consideration Nick is the bezel color of the guages... the "Phantom" Autometer guage bezels are a satin color... on my cluster the guage color and the instrument bezel color match up really close.

i don't know if other guages are used if the bezel color can be matched up... i'd prefer NOT painting the guages...

hope i helped ;)

Nick, did you read everything at the link ??? i think i explained in the discription area what's involved with the cluster install after the mods.

if not let me do so now, just in case.

look at the stocker bezel, up in the top area of the two circular guage areas are the screws that hold in the cluster... down at the bottom are the lower holes... if you were sitting in your seat, the two steering column support nuts are removed, you slightly drop the column and with a phillip's driver, you remove the 4 screws and the stocker bezel is out as a unit... right ???

ok, now look at the modified bezel... the two 5" guages completely cover the area the two upper screws are... what holds in the bezel ???

the bezel/cluster is installed IN the car, THEN the guages are installed. it completely complicates the ease that a stocker is r & r'd.

mine is installed, no biggie... i just want you to know exactly what i've done and what's involved.

i copied the idea from someone else. he didn't provide the method he used for modifications, just the finished product. the pictures of my cluster are mine and document how i did it... there may be other ways to do this i dont know... this is how i did it.

if you like, you like... just be aware of what it is etc and any questions, please, i'd like to make sure everything is on the up & up. i'd like you to see...

this has kinda turned into a classified maybe i dunno... if it has it can be deleted/pruned/ moved to a different location. i was just posting to help others maybe do their own clusters ;)

Looked it over and reread it a couple of times, I think it's well worth the extra time it takes to install it. Looks great.
