WIPER WIRES WERE CUT UNDER DASH AT STEERING COLUMN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WHAT. I HAVE A 1963 CHEVY ll SHOP MANUAL BUT CANNOT FIGURE IT OUT . THE WIRE UNDER THE DASH HAS LOST ITS COLOR SO IT IS SOMEWHAT CONFUSING AS TO WHAT GOES WITH WHAT.

If you can peel back the vinyl wrap that secures the wiring harness you should find wires with the original coloring.
Note that contrary to popular opinion used by shade tree mechanics in the early sixties the factory used di-electric vinyl wrap not electrical tape to wrap the wiring harness. My heartfelt apologies to any one attempting to unwrap the gooey mess I left behind from my youth working on all of my friends cars when I did indeed use electrical tape for my hatchet electrical slices and repairs.
