View Full Version : Difficulty finding wheels
Comicazy Dec 11th, 07, 03:21 PM I'm looking for a set of 15" wheels to put on my 75 Nova. The ones I want aren't available yet (American Racing AR-500). They look alot like the old Cragar Keystones. So I looked for a set of those. The only ones I can find have the multi lug patter. Ya know, the ones that fit just about EVERY 5 bolt pattern. I'd like to find a set made specifically for my bolt pattern.
So tell me what you guys think of this setup.
Front:15X6 215/60/R15 BFG Radial TA
Rear: 15X8 275/60/R15 BFG Radial TA
I don't think I will have a problem fitting everything on there. Does anyone know where I can find a set that are made for 4-3/4 bolt pattern? Thanks.
strtlegal Dec 12th, 07, 11:49 AM the tire size sounds fine however you might rub in the back with a 15x8, i would run a 7" in the back, just to make sure they dont rub
jim454 Dec 17th, 07, 10:17 AM A 215-60-15 is 25.2" high and the 275 60-15 is 28" high .The fronts should be fine but the rears will hit your fender unless you lift up the rear. You also could go with more backspacing in the back .4.75" for rear and 4" max in front. A 245-60-15 would be a better choice for the rear .They should tuck into the fender wells.Check out the Torque Thrust II 505's they are nice and come with a 4.75" bolt pattern also the correct backspacing you need for that 75 Nova.
The Big Al Jan 1st, 08, 08:18 PM the exact tire sizes on on my car.
rear you will have to have a min of 5in bs! MIN!!!!!
5.5 will be indeal.
Front 15x7 3.5bs no major issues
Monk Jan 4th, 08, 11:17 PM Hey, if you don't mind, I'd like to bring up another tire sizing issue (didn't want to start another thread)
I've got a 70' Nova and am running 235/15/60R's on the rear.....these are on 15x7 Cragar S/S wheels with standard offset......what is the largest tire I can put back there without rubbing?
I'd like to install a set of street slicks........any thoughts here?
Thanks much for the space.
Monk
