I have just bought a 1967 drag car. The tags have been striped off the car. I was woundering where else I could find some numbers on the car?:thumbsup:

If you are refering to the VIN plates the numbers (serial numbers only not the option codes) are also stamped into the body in two other places. Usually in the heater box by the passenger side of the cowl and again on the passenger side above the floor boards by the right rear tire.

If these numbers have been altered or ground down you can bet that you have a "hot" car that someone took off the road. The numbers were ground down for reasons other than "lightening" the car.
