Hey guys i just was lookin for a some input on a car that i just bought, its a 69 two door,no motor trans, but its solid with a clean title from arizona, the subframe is rock solid, the body is straight minus a little crinkle in the driver side quarter, comes with two brand new nos front fenders, and all the interior.it needs a driver side floor pan and some minor patch work in the trunk pan, probly needs a new trunk lid,all the glass is good, inners are good, but its all factory body unmolested, its a builder for sure needs a resto, but i already have a 70,and a 72 that are done(funny one ehh?)well their never done, but i figured i dont need another project but much like the rest of you novaholics,i just couldn't resist the thought of a 69 L78 clone so i bought it. i paid 2 grand,do u guys think this is fair,i mean hell u cant buy hardly anything solid with a clean title anymore for that price.--Dan:o

NOS front fenders and a complete interior mean you got your money worth one way or the other.
Depending on what type of cars the 70 and 72 (ie origional restorations, drag strip cars, Pro street, daily driver....) the 69 would be a nice car to use to fill a gap. I don't have 3 classics, but I do have two. One, the Nova, is being built into a brute of a car. While the second which is a 63 Impala Convertible is being built into more of a cruiser keeping the little 283 V8 and such. With a third car I would look into adding a show car to the collection. For you not knowing the kinds of builds the other two Novas are I would think having an old 69 Nova with a 250 I6 built for daily driving would be a cool option that could keep your fuel mileage in a comfort zone or instead of the I6 you could always use a fuel injected 4.3 Liter V6. No it isn't the most glamorous kind of build, but with the way gas prices are going it would be nice to have a classic that gets 20 to 25 miles to the gallon if I was going to drive one on a regular basis.

well gloryhound i would have to say u hit the nail on the head with your predictions,my 70 is a arizona car that is very clean but has been built mainly for hot rodding/racing,currently its sporting a 12 bolt with slicks, cal trac bars, split mono leafs and a 550 horse 383,and by spring it will be in the 700 range with a 8-71 blower on it,the 72 is my street car i bought it in nice shape from a guy that bought it new in high school (it was a factory 307 3-ondatree car)but when i got it,it had a 350 in it with a 4 speed.i pulled the motor/trans and put in a 355 steel crank vortec head motor with a turbo 350 tranny with a mild stall and a solid cam(a super fun street car)and for the 69 i was hoping to finally spend the time and do a full resto on it and turn it into a L78 clone (show car) so u got it timed perfect sounds like all novaholics think alot alike.(by the way im just a hard working guy buildin stuff off of my own money, being able to afford these things mainly because of the absense of a wife or kids,i was the guy wrenchin in the garage on prom night, and every other time that quote unquote important things were shakin down. what can i say im a gear head?!- also the yellow nova is the 70,and the blue is the 72--Dan

You rust belt guys need to stop pilfering all the good AZ cars. Rebuild your rotten ones so we won't have to :D :D ;)
That was a good price I am glad it is going to a good home :)
