I will be installing front disc brakes on my 67 Nova (stock height and stock suspension.) I want to stay with the 14" rallies. I have 14 X 6 drum style rallies on the car now with 225X60's. I assume these will not clear the calipers. I would like to go with 14 X 7's. Can anyone tell me what back spacing I will need? Thanks, Mike

Mike any factory backspacing will work. There are 3 different backspacings. I have a 3.5" and a 4". I do not know what the 3rd one is it might be a 3". Anyway the important part to look for is the shape of the rim on the backside. It has to flat all the way to where the center is welded in. The rim code will be JJ, the JK code is a drum brake rim. The centers are all the same.

Thanks for the info. and the codes, they will be helpful in finding the correct rims.

i had 14x7 rally's that had 4-1/4" backspace and they were "JJ" code.

The JJ is just the rim. There will be another 2 letter code that denotes the application.
XN is a drum brake 14x6
XB, YW, AE, XG, and DE are 14x6 disc wheel applications.

Aftermarket 14x7 I can only find available in one backspace and that is 4 1/4. We could provide those along with with brake kit you inquired about if you don't have to have original wheels.

The 14x7 factory wheels would be YJ or AV with the JJ rim. These were used on Camaros and Novas. I think the YJ is the 4 1/4" backspace. The AV is 4".
