I have a 76 Nova and want to stuff 16x8 American Racing 505's with 3.75 b.s. and B.F. Goodrich G-force 245 50-16's tires .The tires are 25.7 diameter, which is what I have now .But they are 10 " wide .Should these fit? The 76 looks like it has plenty of room . Nice tall stance.Anybody with a similar set-up?

that's the same tire and rim size that is on early 4th gen camaro's and firebird's so they will fit but you need alot more than 3.75" of backspace. The 4th gen F-bodies use 5" or 5-1/2" backspace

yes it will take at least 5" of back space. 5.5" backspace will not work unless you move the shock inside of the spring.

go to a junkyard and by a Camaro "salad shooter" with a tire on it and mock it up. Have some washers handy to use as spacers to get the desired fitment

I can get 4.75" b.s. on the 505 wheels. Will this much b.s. clear in the front ?I believe the back is no problem. The car is not lowered ,a bit higher than stock.

"salad shooter" ???????

Yeah Phillip. That's what we call the alum. wheels that came on 93'-97' Z28's. My 97' Z28 convertible had them. They look like one of those "salad shooter" disks from the old infomercial. Ya know....ya put your salad stuff in here and press the button and it slices , dices and shoots it into the bowl !

Thanks Jay.

Jim I have 4" of backspace on the front and rear wheels of the 77 with no issues. These are 15" wheels, the 16" may clear better especially on the rear.

I have 14x7 in the front and 14x8 in the back now . Cragar ss very rough shape . 3.75" b.s. I like the look of the 16" and want enough room for a brake upgrade someday. Thanks for the help.
