I was a parts guy for Chevy stores back in the 60's and early 70's. What a great time it was to work in a dealership!
Anyhow, one of the stores I worked for was Marve Minneman Chevrolet in Austintown, Ohio. We were putting 427's in Chevelles and building 454 Novas and Camaros right in our shop. I also recall 3 1969 Camaros showing up very late in the year, not long before the 19701/2 Camaro debuted. These 3 Camaros were orange, yellow and green, all with dog dish caps, induction hoods, rock crushers, and 427/425 big blocks.
Also there was a white 1969 SS Camaro owned by a guy nicknamed "Willie Mac" whose engine was totally unaffected by magnets that came from the same store.
I was just curious if this rings any bells with anyone?
