70 = year
11427 = model 1 = Chev, 14 = V8, 27 = 2 door
wrn = assembly plant = Willow Run, MI
318218 = sequence number
733 = Black vinyl buckets
28 28 = Fathom Blue
05C = production date, May, 3rd week
A = white vinyl roof
1121 some sort of Fisher body codes, meaning unknown

some one had told me that the car was a ss but i did not belive him what is it a ss or not thanks
It is not coded into the cowl tag, so that will not be an indicator of a true SS. If it has the original engine still in it you can determine if it is an SS. Also all 70 SS Novas had power disc brakes. Below is a list of options unique to the 70 SS Nova. The original engine is going to be the key. Write down all the numbers that are stamped in the flat part of the block in front of the passenger side head and post them. I'll check them out for you. Some of the items below may be missing due to wrecks or owners preferences. The best way to know for sure is to find a build sheet in the car. They could be under the seats in the springs, inside the back of the bucket seats, on top of the gas tank, I have even heard of them being glued to the inside of the front fender.
