what size tire ? usually an 7" wide rim with 4-1/2" backspace and a tire that measure 26" tall with a section width of 9" to 9-1/2"

255 35 they are 20 i beleave they are 5 1/2 back space

you are gonna hafta do some major surgery to get them to fit

I'm surprised it's not hitting the rear part of the quarter where the fender edge turns in at the bottom with a 20"!

That is the area of most concern when you are putting a Big wheel on since the diameter is too big unless you get real skinny wheels and they can clear that area. I think the largest wheel you can go without hitting there is 19" and that is stretching it! 18 is probably safer and still get a filled out wheel well look!
I would think an 18 x 9 should fit OK but there is a pretty wide discrepancy as far as room in there since Chevy wasn't all that good at getting every one of them the same!
