There have been a lot of questions on how to post photos on the site. It is necessary to have them stored on the internet somewhere. There is a showroom available here but it is requested that the photos only be used on the Team sites due to bandwidth usage.
I use Photobucket for storage of photos so that they can be used at multiple sites with no bandwidth issues. Here are the instructions for posting photos using Photobucket complete with screen shots.

First thing go to Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) and sign up.

I have a premium account to eliminate the ads and for the extra storage. So a standard account will look a little different but work the same way.

Now you will need to transfer or upload your photos to PB. Press the browse button.

Select the photo from your computer. And press open

Now select UPLOAD.

This screen will appear while the transfer is happening.

Transfer is complete. Just scroll down and the photos will be on the screen in the order you have uploaded them.

Left click on the bottom tag to highlight it, then right click to bring up the menu and select COPY

Right click in the posting window and select PASTE to put the photo in your post.
