Cheapest way is cutting front coil springs and de arching the rear springs, but this is generally not the safest! Best to buy lowering coil springs with proper shocks and lowered rear leafs with proper shocks again!

Cutting the front coils and putting lowering blocks out back should work just fine.

Heat all the springs with a torch and it will drop right to the pavement, although it will ride really bad afterwards :D

But seriously welcome to the site Albert :waving:

I don't see why it would be "unsafe"! As long as he doesn't take the temper out of the spring he should be fine!

Albert,

Just make sure when you cut the springs that you wrap wet towels on both ends of the cut and use a cutting wheel, not a torch!

Depends on how old your springs are, how much they sag, etc. Usual rule of thumb is 2" for every coil but you need to measure from the top of your spring to where you want the car to be while the spring is in the car! This will give you the truest measurement so that you get the ride height you're looking for but you need to be careful that you don't lower it too much and hit the crossmember or exhaust!

One thing to keep in mind if doing this is not to change the shape of the spring. The ends of the coils are designed to sit in pockets and if cut wrong they won't fit the fram and lower control arm properly. If one end is even all the way around ( by this I mean it is flat and seats using the whole top coil) and the other isn't cut the end that isn't and cut a full coil so the tail is in the same place.
