Just checking for recommendation on restoring a 1970 Nova. Should I start with the Drive Train or have the Paint and Body work completed first?

Thanks

I would go for the drivetrain first. What use is a pretty car that doesn't run? Ugly ain't so bad when the competition is looking at your tail lights:D

Btw, welcome to Team Nova :waving:

i agree with phillip, do all you mechanical upgrades first. then work on your body. if you are doin extensive work and end up scratchin that fresh paint, you just wasted some cash.

also welcom to team nova.

I am all for mechanical first, but I have to caution you that the body work and paint is much, much more expensive than even a name brand custom built motor; so budget accordingly (only you have a idea of how much work it will take to get the car into shape).
