There's a new kit specifically for 1969-1972 Novas. Here's a link if you haven't seen it yet.

When I get to that point your kit is my first option! It is just going to be a while before I get to that point. I just have two questions is your kit set up for a car with a console and gauges or without? Also how much extra wire is on the engine harness as I am putting a Pontiac engine in which is going to put my starter on the drivers side as well as the alternator if I use the standard factory brackets I got out of a 68 Firebird?

Well, because we are the manufacturer, we can only sell at retail (except during occasional holiday sales & whatnot) So your best deals will come from our dealers – there are several right here on the board. (Musclerodz comes to mind. There may be others as well.)

No problem at all. Classic update takes its power off the starter terminal not the original junction block. As a side note, just be sure that you are running an zero gauge battery cable so you don't have any voltage drop to the system.

Thank you for considering AAW as your first choice. Everything will work fine because there is plenty of extra wire packed in this kit! You'll terminate it at the appliance - whether it be at the starter, the alternator, the temperature switch etc. And yes, it will do console factory gauge but it will also do aftermarket Autometer gauges if you decide to go that route.

I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

We are a sponsor here, just don't post much over here as the board is slow. We sell the kit for $499 on our website. We regularly sell the update kits at 10% off AAW retail when board members let us know they found us on the forums.
