I unassembled most of the steering column today in order to remove the tumbler in my 71 nova. The tumbler had become locked in the on position (This happened when my girlfriend was driving the car alone, not a pretty phone call) Anyway Once I removed the tumbler I found a small piece that it was connected to that had teeth which have been ground down. I am assuming this is the reason for the stuck tumbler. I have included a pic, if anyone knows what this piece is called or where to buy it I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to order or pick it up asap.

ive scene those before that come off the rack inside the column housing..they typically take a poop on tilt cars...just go down to chevy and pick oone up..used those in alot of columns!
