Can anyone provide any specific information/numbers on how many 1967 Nova SS's with a 327 4 speed with factory disc brakes and with factory air were made?

Thanks!

I don't know of hardly any factory disk brakes on a Chevy II in 1967. The Camaro has precious few disc brake equipped cars because they adapted the four puck brakes off a Corvette to fit the Camaro spindle (which I believe was different than the spindle used in the 1967 Chevy II). It was an expensive option that failed if you drove them through deep water (flooded streets) so finding even the original disc brakes on a Camaro today is hard to do, never mind on a MacPherson strut Chevy II.

To my knowledge they do not break production numbers down any further than motor type and tranny type. I am sure at one time those records could have been researched but they were actually written down on paper that doesn’t exist any more (from a time before computerized data).

Here is a site (http://www.novaresource.org/production.htm) with some good data on prodution numbers. Make sure to read the footnotes, and if some of the info seems contradictory it is because Gm hasn't released all of the numbers or totals. Some people have worked hard to come up with as much information as possible. If your car was built in Canada you can obtain a record of how it left the factory. This is almost as good as having a build sheet if you have a rare model or options.

Total Production numbers on 67 V-8 Sport coupes was 18,453, which can be broken down into 10,240 2 Dr.(11637) and 8,213 2 Dr. SS (11837) Models. From this same information, total 4 speed production was 6,058 M-20's and only 2 M-21 close ratio. 327 Production listed is 6,175 units with the L-30 (275 h.p.) and only 6 with the L-79 (325 h.p.) Front disc brakes are listed under the RPO number of J52 with a total number of units 565. As for air conditioning, no breakdown on this except the total number, which is RPO number C60, with the total number being 6,448. According to what I see, if you happened to have one of the L-79's with the M-21 4 speed, now that would be rare?
