Philip Jul 26th, 07, 10:10 PM AFAIK the entire subframe is interchangable from the 1st gen Camaro and the 68 - 72 Nova. 73 and 74 are only different in the bumper mountin area. I have a friend that put a 3rd gen Nova subframe under his 67 Camaro. Villain281H Aug 2nd, 07, 02:17 PM They are close, but some parts are specific to Nova only or Camaro only, so before going overboard post up any specific questions. I do research around these cars so I can help if need be. Derek Big Dave Aug 2nd, 07, 08:52 PM Welcome to the board Matt. GM tried hard to get as many parts as possible to interchange between the Camaro and the Nova, to reduce their inventory of parts. Almost all of the accessories and small parts interchange with things like radiator core supports and firewalls being unique to the Nova because of the different sheet metal. Though if you wanted to you could bolt a Nova fender onto a Camaro (lines are way off but the holes line up). Trannies and rear end interchange as do the motor and all parts that bolt to the above. Knobs and trim parts are different but interchangeable. Don’t forget the sister X-bodies as parts sources as well (Apollo, Ventura, Omega, and Seville can be all sources for an upgraded interior or trim, or mechanical parts). Big Dave |
