A friend of mine is restoring a 74 Nova and we were discussing the exhaust. We came to agreement that the 74 Nova would not have had a cat installed from the factory. We both believe that the cat came on the 75's but not the 74's. Can anyone verify this? Thanks in advance,

Yes 75 was the first year for US emissions package. Can't say what the land of fruits and nuts (CA) was doing.
