A 67-69 Camaro would interchange, but not a 74.

Ignore below I just reread your first post. You are going from a 1972 to 1974, which won't work. You want the brake parts off a 1969 Camaro.
As I understand it the 1968-74 Nova used the front steer suspension parts shared by the 1967-'69 first generation Camaro. The 1968-'72 Nova and Camaro subframes are interchangeable, but with the introduction of fat bumpers things started to change. 1975 up used the same parts as the rear steer second generation Camaro but because of the difference in tread width and difference in sheet metal attachment they do not interchange directly (subframes). You can swap all of the parts that bolt to the Camaro sub frame (A-frames, steering box, drag link, pitman arm, springs to some extent, spindles, etc.) as they interchange with the 1974 upNova; but the actual steel sub frames themselves do not interchange.
I may get this off by a year as I am working off of memory, so check with Phil before you spend time swapping or buying parts as he has this stuff tattooed on the back of his hand.

You sure about that, Dave? That 74 is gonna be front-steer and Im pretty sure the control arms arent anywhere near the same. I dont think any parts will interchange

Welcome Joshua. Let me see if I can help with the history of the X and F body front ends.
The 68 - 72 Novas share front suspension parts with the 67 - 69 Camaro. The front subframes will also interchange. The only difference in the 73 & 74 Nova subframes is the bumper mounts so the subframes will interchange with a little work on the very front.
Now then the 70 - 81 Camaro is front steer, that is the the steering linkage is ahead of the wheels not behind them like the 68 -74. None of these parts will fit the 68 -74 Nova.
In 75 GM used the suspension and steering components from those Camaros in the 75 - 79 Novas. The subframes will not interchange but all the components will.
A little bit of info I discovered is the engine and transmission mounting on the 75 - 79 Novas was shifted 1" to the passenger side. I discovered this when mocking up a subframe to put a Tremec in my Nova. At first I couldn't figure out why but as the front end was being assembled it became clear. The extra room was needed so the steering shaft would fit along side the exhaust manifolds. In the 68 - 70 Novas only big block equipped cars had the engine shifted to the right to help the exhaust clear the steering gear.

Jerry The above pertains to Firebirds and Camaro's of the same model year.
